As an Aboriginal Canadian, I have to say that I’m appalled by protests on campus. While I believe that the world should know and care about apartheid issues everywhere, I do not support these issues being contested in a country where they did not originate. Aboriginal people do not go to your homelands and protest our issues; why do you do it here? Have some respect for a country that has graciously allowed you to come and live here in peace. Remember, this is Native land, and you are guests here.
In Solidarity with Egypt’s uprising K.W. Arab community invites you to gather at Kitchener City Hall Square on Saturday February 12- 2011, at 1:00 pm.
Please bring any Egyptian flags (if any)
Thank you.
